The current banner image
The chili image was shot using available light with Canon A520. Large window acted as a softbox. No fill reflectors, as much of the red color on chili peppers was generated by translucency (using white fill would have resulted in less saturation).
The first banner image
The banner image is taken from top of Halti. Halti is the highest point (1328m) of Finland and is situated in northern Lappland. The hiking route to Halti is about 50km from nearest town Kilpisjärvi.
 Weather can change quickly in Lappland. This day happened be very beatiful 24°C. The day before was 16ms/s winds, rain and 10°C. This is also very remote region, you can easily be the only person in 10km radius (it can also get very crowded very quickly on the few wilderness huts in the area if weather turns bad…)
